Weapons Shipments to Israel have not stopped

In spite of the rumors, weapons continue going to the genocidal regime

While the Biden regime has paused one shipment of 2,000 lbs bombs to Israel, the weapon flow to Israel has not been stopped. The US is still materially supporting an ongoing genocide that is escalating with an invasion of Rafah.

Here is White House National Communications Security Advisor John Kirby at a press conference on May 9:

Q     Well, I think just whether — whether your pausing weapons has reduced any leverage when you pushed the Israelis to allow humanitarian assistance in.

      MR. KIRBY:  So, I think it’s important to remember what happened here.  Everybody keeps talking about pausing weapons shipments.  Weapons shipments are still going to Israel.  They’re still getting the vast, vast majority of everything that they need to defend themselves.  And the President said so last night in that interview with Erin Burnett. 

      And we’ve also committed to and will continue to commit to spending every dime of the supplemental request that we got from Congress to get them the capabilities they need.  I mentioned that in my opening statement. 

      So, there’s no — there is no weapons shipment cut-off here.  What we have done today is pause the delivery shipment of 2,000-pound bombs, which were — oh, by the way — budgeted for before October 7th.  We paused that — the President paused that because of concerns that he was having over Rafah. 

And here is how President Genocide Joe described it in his CNN interview with Erin Burnett on May 8:

"Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which they go after population centers. And I made it clear that, if they go into Rafah -- they haven't gone into Rafah yet. If they go into Rafah, I'm not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, to deal with that problem."

"We're going to continue to make sure Israel is secure, in terms of Iron Dome and their ability to respond to attacks like came out of the Middle East recently. But it's -- it's just wrong. We're not going to supply the weapons and the artillery shells used -- that have been used..."

He would go on to say that even though Israel has entered Rafah, his previously declared “red line” had not been crossed. He is simply lying about Israel going into Rafah, which they most certainly did do and moving the goal posts.

"No, they haven't gone into the population centers. What they did is right on the border. And it's causing problems with -- right now, in terms of with Egypt, which I have worked very hard to make sure we have a relationship and help. But I have made it clear to Bibi and the war cabinet they're not going to get our support if, in fact, they're going into these population centers."

This is after he provided more than enough weapons for Israel to wipe out Rafah, but he can claim he isn’t sending more to try to save face. And then he would change the topic to accusing student protesters of antisemitism and doubling down on his lies about October 7.

“And I pointed out that it took seven decades to get to the place where after the Holocaust occurred, and there's still antisemitism. Look what's happened in seven weeks, seven -- 70 -- I mean, what's happening. Everybody's sort of forgotten about what happened in Israel, those 1,200 young kids murdered."

Twelve hundred young kids were not murdered on October 7, but over 15,000 have been murdered since then. But that didn’t stop old genocide Joe from trying to distract from the war crimes happening in Gaza by bringing up debunked imagery from October 7:

"I saw pictures. I went over there shortly after, a mother and a daughter being roped together and then kerosene poured and burned to death. Nothing like that has happened to the Jewish community since the Holocaust. So, when I went over immediately after that happened, I said to Bibi, don't make the same mistake we made in America."

Biden lied about seeing pictures of the 40 beheaded babies in October and he is still lying here. There is no evidence to support these assertions. What is really happening in that babies are being obliterated by bombs supplied by Biden in Gaza. And Israel is running a torture facility concentration camp, but he doesn’t mention that.

"We wanted to get bin Laden, and we will help you get Sinwar. But we went into Afghanistan to -- it made sense to go get bin Laden. It made no sense to try and unify Afghanistan. It made no sense, in my view, to engage in thinking that, in Iraq, they had a nuclear weapon. Don't make the same mistake. Focus on -- and we will help you focus on getting the bad guys."

Biden was one of those who fully supported the invasion of Iraq and the weapons of mass destruction lies, but what’s historical record when he can simply lie about it?

And NBC news confirmed on May 10 that weapons shipments were still going to Israel.

The shipments that have been sent to Israel in recent days have included both offensive and defensive weaponry, the two U.S. officials familiar with the shipments said, with the offensive weaponry including small arms.

Kirby was lying when he said that the weapons being sent to Israel were for their defense. Biden was lying about Rafah being a red line. Israel is currently murdering children in Rafah and over 360,000 people have been forced to flee. But Biden remains silent and weapons shipments continue to Israel to aid in the genocide.

As Aaron Bushnell told us before taking his own life, “This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.” They know that dead babies are horrifying which is why they created the propaganda of 40 beheaded babies on October 7, but they are happy to ignore the 15,000 dead children in Gaza since then. That is just business as usual for our politicians who are themselves heavily invested in weapons stocks. Lies and death are all these corrupt capitalists have to offer.

Today, Major Harrison Mann resigned from the US military over their support of the genocide. In his letter of resignation, he said, “At some point — whatever the justification — you're either advancing a policy that enables the mass starvation of children, or you're not.” Joe Biden might call him anti-Semitic for this action, but Harrison Mann is the descendant of European Jews and gave “never again” as a reason for his resignation. Hopefully more people follow in his footsteps and stop their active participation in genocide.
