In Honor of Che's Birthday
Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara’s birthday was officially on June 14, 1928. He may have actually been born on May 14, but in honor of the date on his birth certificate, I’ve chosen a movie about the famous Argentinian revolutionary for this week’s film.
The movie closely follows Che’s own narrative from the book The Motorcycle Diaries and tells the story of Che’s coming of age on a motorcycle trip through South America. While not yet the revolutionary who would change the world with Fidel Castro in Cuba, the events depicted in this film would make Che into that man.
