Tara Reade's Bravery Deserves Recognition
Trump and Biden are both sexual abusers
E. Jean Carroll deserves everything she can get, though it’s unlikely she will end up with the full $5 million. What Trump did to her was disgusting and wrong. But while her case is justified, it is getting plenty of attention from the media now and the victims of Joe Biden’s sexual assault are once again being ignored.
When Tara Reade came forward in 2020, she was relentless smeared by the media and was never given a chance. This was in spite of there being eight other women who came forward about Joe Biden’s behavior towards women (more on this below). Since then, there has been new evidence such as her mother’s call to Larry King Live which supports Tara’s accusations. Tara Reade’s brother and a personal friend also confirm that she spoke with them of the allegations. However, the University of Delaware refused to release Joe Biden’s senate files which could have provided more evidence. These files remain sealed today.
Tara Reade was incredibly brave to tell her story and is still standing up and speaking truth to power today. She has concerns for her own personal safety as she recently tweeted:
“I want to make something clear. If something happens to me, all roads lead to Joe Biden. Joe Biden and DNC political machine threats, bullying and intimidation over the last three years will not work. I am not suicidal. I should not be under investigation nor am I a foreign agent. I am a private citizen. I was a former staffer of Joe Biden’s that has chosen to step forward to tell the truth. The tactics using intimidation and bullying to silence me and suppress me using DOJ and FBI and social media will not work. Leave me alone. I will testify under oath in Congress if asked to do so and tell what happened and what I know. The Biden corruption must end. Period Thank you @RepMTG and @mattgaetz for inviting me to testify and caring about the truth!”
She deserves justice as does E. Jean Carroll and all the others abused by Trump. But blue MAGA liberals will cheer for E. Jean Carroll while ignoring Tara Reade. This is the hypocrisy of the Democratic party. It is alright when their side does it, but despicable when the other does it. The truth is rape is rape no matter whether done by a Democrat or a Republican and victims deserve to be heard.
Tara Reade’s allegations line up with those of others who have experienced Joe Biden. In 2019, Ashley Biden (daughter of Joe) left her diary in a halfway house where it was found and sold. The contents were reported by the red conservative outlet the Daily Mail. The blue conservative outlet the New York Times did not question the legitimacy of the diary. The diary included the statement:
I remember having sex with friends @ a young age; showers w/ my dad (probably not appropriate)
“We had to cancel the VP Christmas get together at the Vice President’s house because Biden would grope all of our wives and girlfriend’s asses.”
Similar allegations were made in Ronald Kessler’s book The First Family Detail. He wrote:
Agents say that, whether at the vice president’s residence or at his home in Delaware, Biden has a habit of swimming in his pool nude. Female Secret Service agents find that offensive.
This inappropriate behavior was not limited to adults. He is on film touching children inappropriately. This video, narrated by child abuse expert Professor Anthony Zenkus, shows some of this behavior:
Currently, it appears that voters will once again be forced to choose between two rapists in 2024. This is not democracy. I wrote about this in 2020. What follows is an excerpt from Hell No, I won’t Joe:
Allowing Biden to run after the numerous allegations of sexual harassment came to light was a betrayal of the #BelieveWomen and #MeToo movements. Making him the nominee is the final nail in the coffin of any Democratic support of those movements. When Christine Blasey Ford came forward with her allegations regarding Brett Kavanaugh, the Democrats did everything they could to support her and attempt to stop Kavanaugh’s appointment. Yet when Lucy Flores, Amy Lappos, D.J. Hill, Caitlyn Caruso, Ally Coll, Sofie Karasek, Vail Kohnert-Yount, Alexandra Tara Reade, and Eva Murry came forward with their accounts of Joe Biden’s inappropriate behavior, there was not only silence but actual defense of Biden. This is disturbing considering that on October 9, 2016, @TheDemocrats, the official Twitter account of the Democratic National Committee, tweeted the following, “Grabbing women is sexual assault. Take it from the author of the Violence Against Women Act. #debate” and then quoted @JoeBiden’s tweet from October 8, 2016 saying “The words are demeaning. Such behavior is an abuse of power. It’s not lewd. It’s sexual assault. — Joe.” Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee agree that grabbing women is sexual assault. By their own definition, this makes Joe Biden a perpetrator of sexual assault.
Joe Biden himself said in 2018, that we should presume that women are telling the truth when they come forward. Joe Biden’s chosen running mate, Kamala Harris, said of Biden’s accusers in April 2019, “I believe them and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it.” Yet when it came to accepting the VP nomination, she did not bring this up. When Biden finally did break his silence of the Tara Reade accusation, he told us, “I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade.” While Biden has claimed he never acted inappropriately, these accounts say otherwise. His response to the accusations is inappropriate behavior — he actually joked about it and said “I’m not sorry for anything I’ve ever done.” This in and of itself is plenty of reason to not vote for Joe Biden. Joe Biden stands for a white male patriarchal society that laughs off sexual assault allegations.
Biden chose Chris Dodd to head up his VP selection team. Chris Dodd has his own history of sexual assault. In 1985, together with Ted Kennedy he was involved in the assault of a waitress. This incident has become known as the “waitress sandwich.” The full account of this assault can be found in this 1990 GQ article, which includes this disturbing passage, “With Gaviglio on Dodd’s lap, Kennedy jumps on top and begins rubbing his genital area against hers, supporting his weight on the arms of the chair.” This should have ended the careers of both Ted and Chris — but it did not. A recent New York Post article mentions that “The scared waitress never saw Dodd again but was hounded by the media and allegedly threatened by one ex-Arkansas congressman who said that if Gaviglio spoke out, the restaurant, which she described as “a very close family,” would be blacklisted by lawmakers, she said.” Sexual assault should be disqualifying, but it did not stop Biden from picking Dodd.
Another famous incident involving Biden and sexual harassment came during the confirmation hearings for Clarence Thomas. Anita Hill had accused Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment. This accusation led to her being relentlessly questioned during the hearings — one of the questioners being Joe Biden. During the questioning, Biden actually said of Anita’s reluctance to testify “that is not conduct inconsistent with someone who has been harassed.” Although he has expressed regret about her treatment, that was not enough for Anita herself, who has said, “I will be satisfied when I know that there is real change and real accountability and real purpose.” Biden has not shown this — no true apology has been forthcoming.
When Bernie delegates called attention to Biden’s sexual abuse during the Democratic National Convention in 2020, the DNC muted the chat and/or kicked them out of the room. These allegations deserve to be heard, but Biden was the anointed one. He is once again the chosen of the DNC. They do not care about women’s rights or survivors. They only care about fundraising and consolidating power for corporate interests. They brag about the Violence Against Women Act while ignoring Biden’s history of sexual assault. No one should feel obliged to vote for anyone with a history of sexual assault. The Democratic Party is not worthy of anyone’s vote when they sweep these allegations under the rug.
