This weekend’s movie is by communist film maker and activist Boots Riley. It tells a tale of a dystopian near future where late stage capitalism has taken over. It is a story of class struggle and solidarity. While it is science fiction, it really is about the modern day and it not as far fetched as it might seem. This may be our future if we don’t unite the working class and overthrow the capitalist class. Hopefully Boots will continue to make films like this, revealing the brutality of the capitalist system.
