This week’s Reasonable Movie is 638 Ways to Kill Castro. This documentary by the BBC might be a fairly corny production with their old movie footage and 50s noir sound track, but it’s a great look into how the CIA tried to kill Castro again and again and again. Included are interviews with terrorists the US is harboring who not only tried to kill Castro but also bombed civilians in airplanes and hotels. It’s done by the BBC and relatively free of anti-communist propaganda. I love how they constantly refer to Castro as “The Beard.” Spoiler warning: Not all 638 plots are listed, but they cover a good chunk of them.
