A funny thing happened after the debate ended. Joe Biden started spamming me with emails with the subject line “I’ve never heard so much malarkey in my whole life.” I received five of these emails over the space of around eight hours. I haven’t read the emails, but I assume he was listening to himself speak, because he certainly was full of malarkey during the debate.
Here are a few of my favorite Genocide Joe quotes from debate night 2024 - straight from the CNN transcript:
BIDEN: We’d be able to right – wipe out his debt. We’d be able to help make sure that – all those things we need to do, childcare, elder care, making sure that we continue to strengthen our healthcare system, making sure that we’re able to make every single solitary person eligible for what I’ve been able to do with the COVID – excuse me, with dealing with everything we have to do with.
Look, if – we finally beat Medicare.
Yes, Joe, you did finally beat Medicare and Medicaid. Millions were kicked off of both Medicaid and Medicare under the Biden regime.
And in response to a question about abortion rights:
BIDEN: Look, there’s so many young women who have been – including a young woman who just was murdered and he went to the funeral. The idea that she was murdered by – by – by an immigrant coming in and (inaudible) talk about that.
But here’s the deal, there’s a lot of young women who are being raped by their – by their in-laws, by their – by their spouses, brothers and sisters, by – just – it’s just – it’s just ridiculous. And they can do nothing about it. And they try to arrest them when they cross state lines.
And continuing this enlightening discussion on abortion, showing that he really knows his stuff:
BIDEN: I supported Roe v. Wade, which had three trimesters.
First time is between a woman and a doctor. Second time is between a doctor and an extreme situation. A third time is between the doctor – I mean, it’d be between the woman and the state.
The idea that the politicians – that the founders wanted the politicians to be the ones making decisions about a woman’s health is ridiculous. That’s the last – no politician should be making that decision. A doctor should be making those decisions. That’s how it should be run. That’s what you’re going to do.
And if I’m elected, I’m going to restore Roe v. Wade.
Biden appeared to have forgotten that he is in fact the current president and has failed to restore Roe v. Wade. He also seems to have confused Roe v. Wade with a pregnancy, which has three trimesters. Or perhaps with certainly school years that run on the trimester system.
And this was in response to a question about Ukraine:
BIDEN: I’ve never heard so much malarkey in my whole life.
Look, the fact of the matter is that we’re in a situation where – let’s take the last point first. Iran attacked American troops, killed, caused brain damage for a number of these troops, and he did nothing about it. Recently – when he was president, they attacked. He said they’re just having headaches. That’s all it is. We didn’t do a thing when the attack took place, number one.
War with Iran seemed to be a clear talking point that Biden made sure to bring up. Trump did not do enough to provoke Iran - apparently murdering Soleimani was not enough. Biden made sure to bring Iran up again during a question about Israel:
And by the way, I’m the guy that organized the world against Iran when they had a full-blown kind of ballistic – ballistic missile attack on Israel. No one was hurt. No – one Israeli was accidentally killed. And it stopped. We saved Israel.
And always remember, Biden is pro-cop:
You find ourselves in a position where the idea that we’re not doing it. I put more – we put more police on the street than any administration has. He wants to cut the cops. We’re providing for equity, equity, and making sure people have a shot to make it. There is a lot going on. But, on inflation, he caused it by his tremendous malfeasance in the way he handled the pandemic.
Anyone else remember when Biden recommended that COVID relief funds be spent on the police? After the largest protests in US history against police violence, Biden is still bragging that he gave more money to the police.
Biden’s epic cognitive meltdown on the debate stage has resulted in a call for him to drop out. Unfortunately for the Democrats, they chose Kamala Harris as VP and even though she doesn’t have dementia, she is not any more coherent than Biden. In fact, her word salads rival even Biden’s melting brain in terms of incomprehensibility. Here she is defending Biden’s age:
She has truly mastered the art of saying nothing at all. Even though she was the choice of the donor class, it is not surprising that she had to drop out of the primary without winning a single delegate.
No matter who the Democratic Party chooses (and they will choose, not the people), their candidate will be a neoliberal warmonger who supports the genocide in Gaza. The Democratic Party is as decrepit as their president. An empty suit for corporate puppeteers to manipulate as they wish. There is no redeeming a party that condones genocide.
Consider employing a person for a position of trust. If any applicant displayed Biden's symptoms would you choose them? Would you engage Biden as an attorney, consulting physician, contractor, or even as a baby sitter for your children?
The fact to consider is not whether he should run for reelection, it is that his resignation should be tendered now. If he does not resign, then his cabinet need to fulfill their responsibility to remove him by employing the 25th amendment.
Oh my goodness. I didn't watch the debate and have heard some about it of course since, but this article was priceless Birrion. I have not laughed like I just did in weeks, months even. It was hilarious to read. I had no idea the reality of what was said and reading it was beyond anything I could imagine. This person is our president? What a stitch. I am sure if I had seen it, it would have just felt tragic and pitiful even apart from my outrage at the genocide, but reading it, no stand-up, or sit-down, comedian could have accomplished a funnier script. Thank you for what I imagine were unintended consequences of your so apt assessment, but in these terrible times, the laughter was such a relief.
